Kevin Harrison holds a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics and is a member of AOPA (Australian Orthotic and Prosthetic Association).
He has been working in the Prosthetic and Orthotic industry for over 10 years, and is qualified to fit C-Leg, Dynamic Arm, i-Limb hand, Plie knee, and Negative pressure systems including TEC Harmony and Trans Femoral vacuum systems.
For the last 2½ years Kevin has been fitting patients from his clinic in Melbourne and more recently from a clinic at Calvary John James Hospital in Canberra.
Kevin's patients come from various states of Australia and from all walks of life, having lost limbs either through illness or in an accident and range from paralympians to the elderly.
Patients can be referred by their general practitioner or specialist or can be self referred.
Kevin was asked to work at the Beijing Paralympics in September 2008 by major sponsor Otto Bock. During his time there, Kevin worked with many athletes from a variety of countries, performing repairs to, and manufacturing new prostheses.
